Pennsylvania Wildlife Connectivity Group
The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and PennDOT are leading the new Pennsylvania Wildlife Connectivity Interagency Work Group to reduce wildlife collisions, improve road safety, and help animals move more freely across the state.
The new work group will focus on advancing wildlife corridors and crossings through coordinated planning, mapping, conservation efforts, and leveraging state and federal funding. The group aims to develop a comprehensive statewide strategic plan that will prioritize wildlife connectivity corridors, which improve animal movement and protect core habitats across landscapes, watersheds, and prioritized transportation corridors.
