It was great catching up last week in D.C. with a group of Pennsylvania township supervisors, many of whom I had just seen at their annual conference in Hershey. 

These local leaders are the ones dealing with real challenges in their communities every single day — whether it’s improving roads and infrastructure, expanding rural broadband, strengthening cybersecurity, or supporting our volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel. Their priorities are Pennsylvania’s priorities. 

Local public service has always meant a lot to me. My Pop-Pop served as an Indiana County Commissioner, and he taught me the importance of giving back to your community and respecting the people who do the hard work to keep it running. 

I’ll keep working to make sure our township leaders have the support and resources they need to help Pennsylvania continue to grow and succeed.
