DCNR Wild Resource Conservation Program

DCNR Wild Resource Conservation Program

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is now accepting applications for the Wild Resource Conservation Program (WRCP) to maintain, manage, enhance, and restore Pennsylvania’s native wild non-game wildlife and native wild plants and their habitats. Eligible projects include surveys, inventories, research into techniques needed for the recovery of non-game wildlife, native wild plants, and orphan taxa. WRCP projects are typically science- and research-driven, but outreach and communications projects could be considered, especially if this is a priority for an agency.

Townships and municipal agencies, including COGs and municipal authorities, are eligible to apply through June 30, 2026. For more information, visit DCNR’s grants portal. Applicants are encouraged to contact WRCP Director Rebecca H. Bowen at rebbowen@pa.gov or the appropriate agency coordinator prior to submitting a grant application.
