Act 121 of 2024 took effect yesterday, which provides workers’ compensation coverage to first responders that have had a Post-Traumatic Stress Injury. PSATS supports our first responders and worked closely with the legislature to add guardrails to this legislation to ensure those who need the benefits have access to them without financially overwhelming a municipality. Even with these guardrails, the new act is expected to increase workers’ comp premiums in 2026. Click here to read Act 121.
