Townships Receive Multimodal, Gaming Grants 

The Commonwealth Financing Authority awarded $56 million in grants for 155 Multimodal Transportation Fund projects in 45 counties. Dozens of townships received awards, including Barnett Township, Forest County, for a culvert replacement; Croyle Township, Cambria County, for resurfacing projects; and East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, for an intersection project. The CFA also awarded $263 million in 843 Statewide Local Share Account grants, as well as local grants to those in impacted counties. These grants are funded by gaming revenues. More than 100 townships received grants through this program for road and police vehicles to parks and trails to pools to community buildings to water and sewer upgrades.
