PennDOT Executive Deputy Secretary Larry Shifflet and Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn announced seven new All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Connector Routes in Tioga County. These new PennDOT-approved routes add 7.5 miles to the Northcentral Regional ATV Trail, including the following:

  • Route 349 in Clymer Township.
  • Beachwood Road (Route 4012) in Clymer Township.
  • Route 49 between Westfield Borough and Westfield Township.
  • Route 249 in Westfield Township.
  • Route 349 in Westfield Township.

The routes were approved under a new process that allows municipalities or regional organizations that manage trail networks to request an ATV route designation, providing opportunities to connect trails.

The Northcentral Regional ATV Trail, managed by DCNR, has become a premier outdoor recreation destination. A 2024 study found the trail system generated $13.1 million in economic impact for Potter and Tioga counties in 2023, up from $10.4 million the previous year. Click here to read the full press release.
