See Something, Say Something to Keep Communities Safe
The Pennsylvania Criminal Intelligence Center (PaCIC) is monitoring for any officer or public safety concerns related to upcoming America250PA, FIFA World Cup, and 4th of July celebration events occurring across Pennsylvania. Events and gatherings being hosted across the state over the coming weekend will present an attractive, target rich environment for individuals motivated to conduct an act of violence. Of greatest concern is the potential for lone actors or small groups conducting a mass casualty event using simple, readily accessible weapons including vehicle ramming, firearms, improvised explosive devices, edged weapons, and weaponized drones to conduct an attack at soft targets and crowded places. The PaCIC highlights the importance of reporting any suspicious or unusual activity to local law enforcement and the PaCIC. Suspicious activity and incident reporting from the public, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure partners plays a pivotal role in our collective ability to prevent and mitigate acts of violence. Anyone becoming aware of suspicious activity should report it to local law enforcement and the PaCIC. In light of the persistent heightened and highly dynamic threat environment, the PaCIC encourages critical infrastructure entities and law enforcement partners to heighten cyber and physical security situational awareness and report any type of suspicious activity to the PaCIC at tips@pa.gov.
