Ahead of planned demonstrations and protests expected across Pennsylvania this weekend, Gov. Josh Shapiro issued a statement recognizing the right to peacefully protest, while urging protestors to remain peaceful, lawful, and orderly. He emphasized that his Administration is working with local law enforcement and the Pennsylvania State Police to ensure that demonstrations are lawful and peaceful. 

“With demonstrations and protests planned across Pennsylvania this weekend, I want to be very clear: all protests and demonstrations must remain peaceful, lawful, and orderly. Violence is not an answer to any political differences, destruction and chaos are unacceptable — and neither will be permitted here in Pennsylvania,” said Shapiro. Click here for the full statement.
