2022 Archives and Records Management Seminar Slated for October 5 

The Pennsylvania State Archives will hold a virtual Archives and Records Management Seminar October 5 at 10:00 a.m. Registration is free.  

In 2019, federal agencies were required to transition to a fully electronic or “paperless” government. As of December 31, 2022, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) will only accept electronic records. NARA has developed guidance, digitization standards, and other records management solutions to aid federal agencies in this transition. The speaker, Arian Ravanbakhsh, NARA Records Management Policy Specialist, will discuss these initiatives, the issues encountered, and how they were addressed. He will offer his perspective to ensure that records being created electronically today are preserved for the future. Click here to register.
