Shapiro Unveils New Welcome Signs, License Plates
Gov. Josh Shapiro unveiled new Pennsylvania license plates and “Welcome to Pennsylvania- Let Freedom Ring” highway signs designed to celebrate Pennsylvania as the birthplace of American democracy and highlight the state’s leading role in the 250th Anniversary celebrations of the United States in 2026. The first eight welcome signs have been installed with another 29 scheduled in the coming months.
The new license plates won’t be ready to order until spring 2025 when an email will be sent out explaining how vehicle owners can request one from the state Department of Transportation. To learn more, click here for the press release.
