Shapiro Previews Budget Proposal on Ambulance Funding

The governor’s budget address is scheduled for next Tuesday and Gov. Josh Shapiro has begun announcing a few of these proposals. Last week Shapiro announced plans to propose a $30 million increase for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) funding in the 2024-2025 state budget, doubling the current funding. EMS companies can use these grants for equipment, facilities upgrades, training, recruitment, and more. Expect to hear similar announcements for other spending priorities over the next week.
