DCNR’s Bureau of Recreation and Conservation is accepting applications for the Motorized Trails and Recreation (formerly known as the ATV and Snowmobile program) fall grant round until September 30. Funds can be used toward projects proposing land acquisition, planning, development, rehabilitation, maintenance, equipment purchases, or educational programs for ATV or snowmobile trails and facilities. Bureau staff is available to assist in competitive application development, and interested townships are encouraged to contact their regional advisor for more information. 

Last week, DCNR announced winners of the previous grant round, which can be found here. Grants primarily went to trail construction in townships, but also helped with rider education, promoted responsible and ethical trail use, and increased awareness of safety rules.
