PennDOT Regional Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Funding Rounds Open in SE, West
PennDOT is opening four regional National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Community Charging Funding Opportunities throughout 2026. The funding opportunity for the southeast region closes on August 21, 2026 and will award $34 million to EV charging station projects in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.
Applications are now being accepted for $25 million in the western region, which closes November 20, 2026. Regions covering the rest of Pennsylvania are opening throughout the summer and fall of 2026. Eligible projects include various costs towards the installation of a new public Charging Station or upgrading an existing public Charging Station. Interested townships may complete the NEVI Interested Organizations Survey. Responses to this survey are shared publicly on PennDOT’s website. Questions can be directed to RA-PDEVCORRIDORS@pa.gov.
