PennDOT has announced that the funding round for the eastern region is now open for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Community Charging Funding Opportunities. Funding rounds for the central and western portions of the state were recently opened: 

• $25 million is available for the western region and closes November 20, 2026 
• $11 million is available for the central region and closes March 12, 2027
• $32 million is available for the eastern region and closes March 12, 2027. 

Eligible projects include installing a new public Charging Station or upgrading an existing public Charging Station. Interested townships may complete the NEVI Interested Organizations Survey. Responses to this survey are shared publicly on PennDOT’s website. Questions can be directed to RA-PDEVCORRIDORS@pa.gov.
