PennDOT Accepting Public Comment on Proposed Funding for State and Local Transportation Projects Until 6/30

The state Department of Transportation is encouraging Pennsylvanians to review and comment on the draft 2027 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The 2027 STIP is a list of projects identified for federal, state, local and private funding over a four-year period and can be viewed by county. The comment period will remain open until 5 PM on June 30, 2026.

Township officials are encouraged to view proposed projects in their county and to comment where relevant. An interactive map can be found here: https://talkpatransportation.com/how-it-works/stip where individual project descriptions can be viewed, as well as when state and federal funds will be available for each specific project.

The draft STIP can be viewed online. Comments can be submitted by filling out the online comment form at TalkPATransportation.com or emailing comments and questions to RA-PennDOTSTC@pa.gov. Township officials and residents may also call PennDOT to share their comments at 717-783-2262.
