PSATS Executive Director David M. Sanko released an Op-Ed celebrating Local Government Week, which runs April 10-14. Local Government Week is meant to help Pennsylvanians discover the critical role that townships and township officials play in the commonwealth’s governing system. Despite rising costs for just about anything, municipal officials and staff continue to work within limited budgets to provide services to residents. Thank you for doing what you do for your community!
As we celebrate Local Government Week, keep in mind that that township government isn’t just another layer of government; it’s the critical layer, the foundation. The one that represents its residents and neighbors, works within its budget, and provides the services you’ve asked for – nothing more and nothing less. Click here for the full op-ed.
