Inflation Pauses with Latest CPI Numbers 

The Consumer Price Index numbers for July were released yesterday, showing that inflation paused during July, with a gasoline index decrease of 7.7% offsetting increases in food and shelter indexes. Year over year inflation decreased to 8.5% after hitting a high of 9.1% last month. The food at home index rose 13.1% over the last year, the largest 12-month increase since March 1979, while natural gas rose 30.5%, and new vehicles rose 10.4%. Click here for more.
