A report by the Independent Fiscal Office evaluated recent home sale data compared to 2022. For May 2023, the number of homes listed for sale in Pennsylvania was down 23.3% compared to May 2022. The number of homes sold in May 2023 was 17.3% less than May 2022. The statewide median sale price in May 2023 was $220,000, an increase of 4.3% over the prior year.
