America250PA Celebration and Infrastructure Funding

America250PA was formed to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States in 2026 and Pennsylvania’s leading role in commemorating this event. Coincidentally, 250 townships have passed a resolution to endorse the America250PA mission to Educate, Preserve, Innovate, and Celebrate the rich history and diversity of our commonwealth! Your township can become part of the celebration by approving a sample commemorative resolution at your next meeting. Click here for a copy of the commemorative America250PA resolution. Please send approved resolutions to your state senator and representative, as well as PSATS Policy & Research Analyst Katie Lizza at klizza@psats.org.

America250PA’s Infrastructure Improvements and Projects Committee (IIPC) is currently accepting proposals for legacy projects to change the infrastructure landscape of Pennsylvania as part of the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. House and Senate members of the IIPC will review and select potential legacy projects or improvements in their regions.

There are four funding levels available, ranging from projects up to $250,000 to those estimated at over $2.5 million. Counties have varying deadlines for proposals now through August. Please visit America250PA’s website for more information and for the link to submit a proposal.
