The U.S. Department of Justice has delayed the Americans with Disabilities Act compliance dates for local governments by one year. The compliance deadline for municipalities with a total population of 50,000 or more was supposed to take effect tomorrow but has been delayed to April 26, 2027. The compliance date for municipalities with a total population of less than 50,000 is extended from April 26, 2027, to April 26, 2028.
