The state Department of Aging announced a statewide Request for Proposals for the 2026 READY Communities grant. The 2026 READY Communities grant will focus on community-driven projects that align with at least one of the five priorities of Aging Our Way, PA, the Commonwealth’s 10-year Multisector Plan for Aging, and supporting a community’s older residents, neighbors living with dementia, or both. 

Examples of eligible projects include: hosting a social connection program, developing or expanding a village, hub, or navigation model, scaling a community dementia awareness initiative, and growing a coalition or partnership to apply for the Age-Friendly Communities designation or improve age-friendly programs and design. The RFP will be open through June 12, 2026.
