DCED Awards Municipal Assistance Program Grants
Yesterday, the state Department of Community and Economic Development announced more than $900,000 in grant awards for the Municipal Assistance Program. Winning projects include an update to the multimunicipal comprehensive plan for Parks, Gilpin, and Bethel townships and Leechburg Borough in Armstrong County; creation of a multimunicipal plan for Blooming Grove Township and Porter Township in Pike County; a master site plan to transform a former elementary school in Barrett Township, Monroe County, into an administrative and recreational center; and funding for a newly formed regional police department that serves North Cornwall, North Lebanon, and West Lebanon townships in Lebanon County.
