Virtual Class Will Address Concerns About Grid-Scale Solar Farms
Township officials who are concerned about commercial solar farms coming to their township can learn about their options for regulating these uses at a free virtual class scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. PSATS is hosting this class, which will help you learn about current trends in solar energy and what can be expected in your municipality as this technology is deployed around the commonwealth.
The class will discuss what other municipalities are doing to regulate solar farms within their borders and highlight key issues for you to consider when adopting or revising your zoning ordinances, including decommissioning and bonding requirements, setbacks, glare, emergency management considerations, agrivoltaics, and much more. There will be some case studies and an immersive 360-degree virtual tour of a solar farm.
If your municipality wants to be better prepared to manage this land use, be sure to click here to register and join us for this virtual class.
