The Department of Community and Economic Development is accepting applications for Local Share Account Grants. Townships, municipal authorities, and councils of governments are eligible to apply through November 30, 2025, toward project costs between $25,000 to $1 million. No match is required for this program!  

Township officials should note that the Commonwealth Finance Authority has not yet awarded grants from the 2024 cycle. The CFA met on November 18, 2025 but did not act on the 2024 LSA grant round. It is now expected that these grants will be awarded early next year. 

Grant funds may be used toward projects that improve the quality of life in the community, including infrastructure projects, purchasing vehicles, machinery, or equipment, planning projects, construction, and more.
