Primary Voter Quickly Approaching

Primary Voter Quickly Approaching

The Pennsylvania Department of State’s 2026 voter education efforts are intended to ensure Pennsylvanians are aware of key election dates, deadlines, and options for casting their ballot in preparation for Pennsylvania’s primary election on May 19.

While only registered party members can vote in their internal nominating primaries (Democrats in Democrat primary and Republicans in Republican Primary), all voters can vote on any ballot questions that may be on their ballot. In addition, all registered voters in the 196th District in York County can vote in the special election for Representative in the General Assembly, which is also being held May 19.
