L&I Announces Record Levels of UC Fraud

The state Department of Labor and Industry said that the pandemic unemployment assistance program experienced extensive fraudulent claims. Of the 400,000 applications reviewed in October, 88% were believed fraudulent when the Department private contractor attempted to verify identities.
