Iodide Distribution Near Nuclear Plants 8/14
The state Department of Health will offer free potassium iodide, or KI, tablets next Thursday, August 14, to Pennsylvanians who live, work, or study within 10 miles of any of the state’s four active nuclear power plants. This is part of routine preventative efforts in case of potential radiation emergencies. The facilities include Beaver Valley Power Station, Limerick Generating Station, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, and Susquehanna Steam Electric Station. Click here for locations and hours.
