Townships may have received an “Updated Compliance and Reporting Guidance” email from U.S. Treasury late last week. This email included the most recent Reporting Guidance document, published on April 29, 2025, for the American Rescue Plan Funds, also known as SLFRF funds. Townships which completed their 2025 Project & Expenditure Report do not need to take any further action at this time. The required closeout report is not yet been available, however, Treasury has indicated they will provide additional guidance and instructions. PSATS will notify members when the report is available and provide instructions.

As a reminder, every township was required to complete the 2025 Project and Expenditure Report by April 30, 2025. Even if your township previously reported using all SLFRF funds, the report is required to comply with rules for the program. PSATS received a list of about 150 townships that did not file the 2025 report as of May 13. If your township did not complete the report on time, it is in danger of needing to repay the funds that it received in 2021 and 2022. We urge you to complete the report now! To complete the report, log in here with your login.gov credentials: https://portal.treasury.gov/compliance 

Not sure if your township completed the report? Log in at the link above and go to Compliance Reports. If your 2025 report says “Submitted” under “Status” then it was completed and no further action is needed. However, if it says, “In Progress” or “Draft” under “Status,” then it needs to be completed ASAP.
