The Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program 2025 guidelines are now available! This program provides funding for transportation alternatives projects, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access, community improvement activities, environmental mitigation, trails that serve a transportation purpose, and safe routes to school projects.  

Townships are eligible to apply, and projects will be funded at 100% of the construction cost to PennDOT for completion. Draft applications are due by September 5, 2025. Final applications (only after Draft Application meetings with District and Planning Partner) are due by October 31.
