Shapiro Economic Development Plan for PA to be unveiled today!

Recognizing the importance of local government, and knowing the state won’t be able to act alone and be successful, the Shapiro Administration is unveiling it’s long-term economic development strategic plan today.

The governor acknowledges that successful states and regions recognize economic growth is only achieved through meaningful and intentional partnership with local government and other stakeholders – including townships!

The Shapiro plan focuses on five industry pillars aimed at maximizing opportunities for growth:

·         Agriculture

·         Energy

·         Life Sciences

·         Manufacturing

·         Robotics and Technology

A number of PSATS members and staff participated in two meetings with Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger as they developed the plan, and we expect further meetings and inclusion as they begin implementation.
