Shapiro Announces First PA Sites Grant Awards
Gov. Josh Shapiro announced the recipients of $64 million for 11 projects in the first round of the PA Sites (Pennsylvania Strategic Investments to Enhance Sites) program to build shovel-ready industrial sites across the commonwealth. Some grants will develop new sites, while others will redevelop existing industrial sites. In Hazle Township, Luzerne County, a $4.1 million loan will develop a site in the Humboldt Industrial Park North and create a 125,000 square foot, pad-ready site with rail connectivity. In North Union Township, Fayette County, $821,524 will be used to develop an access road and stormwater improvements at Lemont Rail Park. Click here to learn more about the winning projects.
