Reminder: DCNR Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Grants Available
The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced another round of Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2) grants for projects related to parks, recreation, and conservation. Several grant categories are covered under this program, including:
- Park Rehabilitation and Development Planning to build or rehabilitate public park and recreation facilities.
- Recreation and Conservation Planning for future parks, recreation, and conservation
- Trails projects to plan and build motorized and non-motorized land and water trails
- Rivers Conservation and Development to improve protection of and access to Pennsylvania’s waterways
- Land Acquisition and Conservation to buy land for parks, greenways, critical habitat, and open space
- Community and Watershed Forestry for riparian buffers, lawn-to-meadow conversions, and community trees
Townships are eligible to apply through April 30, 2026. Most programs require a cash or in-kind matching contribution equal to 50% of the project cost. Interested townships are encouraged to contact a DCNR regional advisor before applying.
