The Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) is proud to announce that its Executive Director, David Sanko, has been elected Vice President of the National Association of Towns and Townships (NATaT) during their latest meeting. David Sanko expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating, “This role carries the significant responsibility of enhancing the effectiveness of town and township governance across the nation. This role is an opportunity to ensure that the voices of commonsense in smaller governments are heard and their needs are addressed at the federal level.” The federal definition of “small” is 200,000 people. Founded in 1967, NATaT provides a strong voice for America’s smaller communities in Washington, D.C. The association informs and educates federal officials about township government and the needs of smaller governments, representing 11,500 towns and townships across the country in federal statutory, regulatory, funding, and policy decision
When elected or appointed, township officials automatically become PSATS members through their township's membership. If you're an elected or appointed township official in Pennsylvania and are unsure about your entity’s membership status with PSATS, your board secretary or manager can provide the necessary details.
PSATS offers its members exclusive access to training, resources, and events via the member portal at PSATS.org. If you have any questions about PSATS.org or your membership that aren't covered on our FAQ page, please submit a message, and we'll be happy to follow up with you.
