PennDOT Releases EV Videos, Funding for Charging Stations
The state Department of Transportation has released the “EVs in Focus” video series, which helps answer questions Pennsylvanians may have about electric vehicles. Three videos are currently available covering the topics of Battery Fires, The Electric Grid, and Environmental Impacts. Two more videos on the topics of Cost to Charge and Winter Weather will be released soon. Click here to view.
PennDOT recently announced 12 federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) project awards from the Corridor Connections Funding Opportunity totaling $9 million in federal funding. These projects build on prior NEVI projects to enable EV travel on more long-distance roadways throughout Pennsylvania. The PennDOT NEVI Community Charging webpage provide information about the regional community charging funding rounds, which are open to businesses and nonprofits. The southeastern region funding opportunity is currently available, and the other regions are scheduled for release this spring and summer.
