PennDOT Heavy Equipment Auction for Municipalities Underway Now 

The municipal portion of the state Department of Transportation’s heavy equipment auction began May 12. This year’s sale includes loaders, dump trucks, excavators, plows, rollers, tractors, and more. 

The State Surplus Property Program is offering off-road equipment, dump trucks, and other items to municipalities before being offered to the general public for sale. This is an online auction, and inspections of equipment are by appointment only.  

Municipalities can register with Gov Planet to view available equipment, receive notices of up-coming municipal sales, and bid on equipment currently available at www.GovPlanet.com/muni. Once on that page, click “Sign up and get buying privileges on www.govplanet.com” and select the button to “Create free account.” 

Once you have registered, please email Account Representative Chris Harris to request access (CHarris@rbauction.com). Chris will verify your account and grant you access to the site, which will allow you to view the available items once they are posted.
