“Data centers have a place in our commonwealth, but like any land use, their development shouldn’t be rushed just for headlines,” said Holly Fishel, PSATS Policy and Research Director, in recent testimony before the Senate Policy Committees. 

As demand for digital infrastructure grows, driven by AI and the “next industrial revolution,” municipalities are uniquely positioned to guide responsible development. By weighing community needs, emergency services, and environmental impacts, local leaders can ensure smart growth.
