Member Townships Receive Pennsylvania Day Mini Grants
Congratulations to four PSATS member townships that received National Pennsylvania Day Mini Grants from America250PA in partnership with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, EQT, and PennDOT. The townships were among 10 winners that received grants totaling more than $30,000 to support projects that improve the community and engage volunteers.Projects could include park and cemetery improvements, revitalization efforts, plantings, painting of community assets, river sweeps, and graffiti abatement and murals. Grants up to $4,000 were available to existing America250PA partners.The winning townships and their grants are:
• Benezette Township, Elk County, $4,000;
• Bethel Township, Lebanon County, $2,000;
• Shenango Township, Lawrence County, $3,800; and
• Towamensing Township, Carbon County, $4,000.
