Unfunded mandates are unwelcome whether they come from Harrisburg or Washington. Yesterday, the White House issued an executive order to consolidate power to regulate AI and data centers only in Washington, D.C., displacing state roles. As a reminder the Commonwealth wants to displace local roles. Both are bad because local government has primary responsibility for keep communities safe and affordable.
