Link to Updated PennDOT FHWA 536 Report Due 6/15
The state Department of Transportation is now requiring all municipalities and counties to complete form FHWA 536 by June 15. Previously collected in October, the updated report collects information on all road and bridge related expenses made during the course of the year from all sources. This means that the report needs to include expenses made from liquid fuels funds, as well as road and bridge expenses from your township’s general fund, grants, dedicated taxes, federal funds (such as ARPA) or any other source of funding.

PennDOT takes the data reported from local governments and creates a statewide form for submission to the Federal Highway Administration. It is the FHWA that is requiring an earlier state report and has made the report mandatory. Townships that do not submit the form may be contacted by the Federal Highway Administration and penalties may be imposed.
PennDOT has resources to assist municipal officials with the FHWA Form 536. Training is available upon request and can be conducted virtually or in person. In addition, PennDOT’s Financial Consultants are available to assist with completing the form. Please reach out with any questions or training needs to your Financial Consultant or RA-PDFHWAMUNIFORM@pa.gov.
