Due to confusion over the Fire and EMS Grant Program language on its website, the Office of Fire Commissioner has extended the deadline for these grants until tomorrow, Friday, October 24 at 4 p.m. This was done to ensure as many organizations as possible can receive grant funding. Townships are encouraged to share this information with partnering fire companies, emergency medical services providers, and volunteer rescue squads. More than 1,500 fire and ambulance companies have already applied for these grants.
