Clarification: PennDOT Heavy Equipment Auction Will Close 5/23 

The private municipal auction of the state Department of Transportation’s heavy equipment auction covered in yesterday’s Morning News will close on May 23. The State Surplus Property Program is offering off-road equipment, dump trucks, and other items to municipalities through an online auction before offering these items to the general public. Inspections are by appointment. 

Municipalities can create free accounts with Gov Planet to view available equipment, receive notices of up-coming municipal sales, and to bid on equipment currently available at www.GovPlanet.com/muni. Once registered, email Account Representative Chris Harris to request access (CHarris@rbauction.com), which will allow you to view the items.
