CDC Provides Guidance on COVID-19 Quarantine

When an employee tests positive for COVID-19, it can be complicated to determine how long they need to isolate and when they may return to work. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Guidance on Quarantine & Isolation can be helpful when trying to determine if an employee needs to quarantine and when they can safely return to work. Note that Pennsylvania uses the shorter quarantine timeframe of 10 days without testing and seven days after receiving a negative test result that occurs on day 5 or later.
