Are Your Residents in the Know?

Are Your Residents in the Know?

If your township regularly communicates with residents in a print or digital format, consider applying for PSATS’s 2026 Citizen Communication Contest! Your communication materials could serve as an example for other townships!

The Citizen Communication Contest recognizes townships’ efforts to communicate with residents in the following categories:

• Printed Newsletters (population under 5,000 and population 5,001 and over)

• Electronic Newsletters

• Most Improved Newsletter

• Other Publications

• Multimedia Communications

• Social Media Websites

Winners will receive a framed certificate and coverage in the Pennsylvania Township News. Two Outstanding Citizen Communication Awards for overall communication excellence – one for a township with a population under 5,000 and one over 5,000 – will be presented at the 2026 Annual Conference Excellence Awards ceremony.

The deadline for entries is December 31. Applicants can submit entries online or in the mail; however, final entries are sent digitally to judges.
