Expanding Volunteer Recruitment and Retention for Fire/EMS Services
(Part of PSATS' Learning at Lunch 2014 Webinar Series)
Volunteers are the life blood of most non-profit organizations – without them, the level of services they provide to local communities would severely decline. Time commitments from work and family have led to a steady decline in those who wish to devote their free time to non-profit causes. This decline has been hard on local Fire and EMS services in communities across the commonwealth. During this interactive webinar, William Jenaway from Montgomery County will review the findings of a study from the Fireman's Association of the State of Pennsylvania and will discuss the Association’s strategic plan that focuses on recruiting and retaining members, understanding why they leave, and get useful tips on how to develop a recruitment and retention plan. In 2013, the United States saw its total number of volunteers drop to a 10-year low – register today for this webinar and gain the tools you will need to keep volunteers active and happy in your Fire and EMS programs!
