Webinar Title:

Protecting Your Municipality from Fraud

(Part of PSATS' Learning at Lunch 2014 Webinar Series)

Media reports of municipal fraud have led to an increased interest in forensic accounting — the use of accounting to investigate fraud or embezzlement. During this interactive webinar, the presenters will explain the differences between traditional and forensic accounting and discuss case studies illustrating the different approaches used by each. The presenters will also give an overview of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners’ 2012 Report to the Nations on Occupational Fraud and Abuse and tell how you can use the information to prevent fraud in your own community.

For most municipalities, the financial impact of losing assets or funds can be devastating, but the long-term effects are even more damaging. With a loss of public confidence and diminished resources to offer services, your community’s future could be on the line. Register for this webinar today and take the first steps in protecting your municipality!
