NEW! Get Help with Bay Pollution Reduction Projects

Monday September 16th, 2019
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the state Department of Environmental Protection, is accepting proposals for local government projects to implement one or more high-priority nutrient and sediment load reduction projects in eight counties through the Pennsylvania Local Government Implementation Grants program. The funding is consistent with Pennsylvania’s Phase 3 Watershed Implementation Plan and the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL).

All projects must occur in one or more of the following counties: Adams, Bedford, Centre, Cumberland, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York.

Proposals will be accepted from eligible municipalities and entities specifically authorized by municipalities in Pennsylvania to support local government implementation. Proposals are due October 22 and must be submitted through NFWF’s EasyGrants application

NFWF estimates awarding roughly $2.4 million in grants with funding made available by the EPA.
