PennDOT Offers Free HOP Training Sessions March through May
Learn more about PennDOT's Highway Occupancy Permit process by attending one of 18 free, two-hour training sessions to be held across the state from March through May. (More dates and locations are pending.)
The sessions will focus on two areas: the basics of HOPs, including access location selection and smart access design; and a walkthrough of PennDOT’s new E-Permitting System. This second "module" will highlight the upcoming “Municipality Profile” page, which will provide local governments with direct access to key HOP information.
The presentation is geared toward municipal staff and public officials who are reviewing and making land development decisions, including HOP submissions. Participants will receive the tools to sign up for the E-Permitting System and create a municipality profile when it becomes available later in 2013.
Attendance is limited to about 30 participants per session in most locations. Click here for more details on dates, times, and locations, and then RSVP to Amy Firestine at firstname.lastname@example.org or 717-763-7211.
