Marcellus Shale Gas Drilling: How Could It Affect Your Local Water Supply?
Natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale places a huge demand on local water supplies and also generates large volumes of wastewater.
During a workshop at PSATS' 2010 Annual Educational Conference in Hershey, Penn State Water Resources Extension Specialist Bryan Swistock explained:
- the drilling process,
- state regulations, and
- ways township officials and residents can work together to protect local water resources.
Thanks to the CDS Group, www.cdsgroup.com, for recording this workshop and making it available to PSATS.
