With more than 100 workshops and close to 300 exhibits, PSATS' 2008 conference and trade show offered a one-of-a-kind opportunity for township officials and staff to learn, network, and find the best deals on local government goods and services.

Indoor and outdoor exhibits offer one-on-one contact between township officials and the purveyors of local government goods and services.
U.S. Sen. Robert Casey Jr. kicked off the first of three general sessions at the conference. Township delegates and guests also heard from other state officials and legislators, voted to elect Association officers, and set the Association's legislative course for the next 12 months. Former pro football star Garo Yepremian closed the conference -- and had the audience laughing out loud -- with his tale of his arrival in this country and his lightning-fast rise to fame.
Township officials and staff could attend their choice of more than 100 workshops for the largest local government training opportunity in the state.
Rain dampened the streets of Harrisburg but not of those attending PSATS' Third Annual Legislative Reception on May 12. About 800 township officials, staff, and guests had the chance to meet, greet, and talk with their state legislators while sampling food from "PA Preferred" providers.
Busy days at the conference led to relaxing evenings of entertainment, and some township officials started their trip to Hershey by hitting the links in PSATS' Golf Tournament.
