In the face of higher fuel costs, environmental concerns, and government mandates, townships are becoming home to alternative energy producers and discovering how new energy sources can work for them.
The federally mandated National Incident Management System is meant to help all levels of government work together in a disaster. Townships must meet new training requirements in 2006 or risk their federal preparedness funds.
